A Holistic Wellness Life Coach and Massage Therapist in St Leonards, UK
I was the Social Media Manager for Taming Your Inner Dragon between March and November 2025, running their Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts.
What I did:
- Planned, designed, and edited posts and captions to be shared across social media.
- Came up with two new weekly series for the audience to get self care and wellness tips on a recurring basis.
- Tracked post engagement and ad analytics to find out what worked, what didn’t, and tweak content accordingly.
The posts I made:
My client was running a personal and sensitive one to one business. She was the face of the brand, with her attitude, outlook, and experience being invaluable to the content approach.
As such, I designed posts to incorporate her artistic personality. She loved the papercraft style I came up with, and it proved to be a hit with her audience as well.
- Massage Therapy information, including how to book, what happens during a session, and common first-time worries.
- Follow-along videos, such as a mini guided meditation. (I made, edited, and produced the whole thing!)
- Self care and mindfulness tips, including how to be mindful without meditating (as this is a major FAQ in the wellness community!)
- Self belief and self empowerment boosts, as my client wanted to engage with people who had felt ‘put down’, or been told that they couldn’t achieve in life.
The results I achieved:
- Post engagement rate increased by an average of 800%.
- Massage Therapy session enquiries came from a wider radius, i.e., from St Leonards to Tunbridge Wells (which is about 28 miles)
- Pulled in some great conversions off of a low budget, repeatable campaign (check out the insights on that later!)
After a couple months working together, my client told me that she felt I was the person who could finally put her message into the right words to be shared. It was an incredible confidence boost!
Some paid campaigns I ran:
My client wanted to run a repeatable campaign to attract massage therapy bookings.
I put together an ad that highlighted the one thing about getting a massage that we all can relate to: getting to relax!
The ad also included a full breakdown of massage types, session lengths, and prices. I didn’t want any potential clients to have to hunt for that information themselves.
The ads were run for 5 days at a time, on a budget of £25. And every week, 75-100 people would click through to the bookings page.
Then one day, my client came to me to ask if I could pull in some more female clients. Her audience share was skewing highly towards men, and she wanted to see more women in her therapy room.
So I went back to the drawing board. I focused on one question:
What do women want from a massage session?
Turns out, the same thing as anyone else! A chance to have some quiet time, where they get to feel pampered – and get to work out those difficult knots in the back and shoulders!
The ad copy itself? Just fine. I needed to dig into the demographic the ad was being shared to.
And that meant asking another question:
What do women who would love to book a massage also love to engage with?
The result? 3 new female clients made bookings from this one ad. That’s an ROI of 650%.
