I’ve been a freelance writer since 2016.
Why? Well, I’ve always loved to write! As a teenager, I was even regularly writing and sharing stories on a site called Quotev. My most popular story had 3000 likes, and 300,000+ reads from 30,000 readers.
Why not decide to get paid for it? So that’s what I did!
I started off by gigging around and picking up bits and pieces here and there. I was still in college at the time, so didn’t have the kind of schedule necessary to working on a freelance career.
But after I graduated, I was picked up immediately by an SEO agency (and spent 9 years there!). A lot of luck brought the opportunity my way, but it was my skill that meant I got it.
After that, I started with a content marketing agency (5 years and counting!), and on top of all that, for the past 3 years I’ve been a freelance social media manager too!
Of course, with all this experience in my pocket, I’m a bit of a content generalist at this point.
I can write casual, chatty blog posts. I can write long form, educational articles. I can write short form video scripts that pack in plenty of value in under a minute. I can even write technical guides or something as in depth as a manufacturing manual!
But there are 3 industries in particular that I pride myself on having valuable insight and experience in:

But I don’t just write. I don’t just respond to briefs. I don’t only work on what I’m given. I also:
- Do background market and audience research
- Come up with ideas
- Design visual content
- Edit video content
- Run ads (and yes, I have plenty of Meta Ads experience!)
- Track the stats (I’m the first to see what’s working and what isn’t!)
What with having such a strong background in SEO, I’m hands-on with my clients’ accounts. I dig into the analytics, I test and revise, and I understand the audience behind the brand or business.
And it’s worked, time and time again! (and if you haven’t already, you really should check out the projects in my portfolio!)
Although I would like to state that my public portfolio isn’t exhaustive. I do have quite a few samples of content I can’t share publicly (with a lot of it being ghostwritten).
